Definition
Roller bearings in which the rolling elements (cylinders) are in direct line contact with the raceway. They are used where high radial load capacity, precision, and stable operation at higher speeds are required. AKE manufactures these bearings as specialized high-precision components - especially for the aerospace and defense industries - with tolerances up to ABEC 9.
Features
- Available in single-row or double-row design
- Diameters: bore (d) 13–240 mm, outer diameter (D) 15–300 mm
- High radial load capacity
- Suitable for high-speed applications
- Enhanced corrosion resistance
- Resistant to temperature fluctuations
- Vibration resistance
- Lightweight construction
- Also available without an inner ring (space-saving during assembly)
- Cage design is separable for easier mounting and dismounting
- Various guiding ring arrangements depending on bearing type
- Precision grade up to ABEC 9 for aerospace applications
Applications
- Aerospace industry - main shafts of turboprop engines
- Space technologies
- Defense industry
- Land-based gas turbines
- Applications with limited installation space (version without inner ring)
- Industrial machinery with high radial load and need for separable construction
