Key features of AKE bearings in the railway industry

With regard to the demanding criteria of low noise and high bearing loads in rail transport, AKE bearings meet special technical requirements.

High load carrying capacity

AKE bearings in the railway industry are designed for the high loads that arise in rail vehicle transport operations. This includes loads due to the weight of the material being transported.

Service life

The bearings are manufactured from high quality bearing steel with reduced residual austenite, which is specifically designed for railway applications. The result is the elimination of micro cracks contributing to extended bearing life and its ability to withstand higher loads.

Resistance

AKE bearings used in the railway industry meet the demands for high durability to ensure safe and reliable operation of rolling stock. Thanks to the use of special steel, they are able to withstand to a greater extent the shocks and vibrations that arise during driving on the railway line.

Certifications

AKE bearings intended for the railway industry are manufactured to stricter tolerances and must comply with the relevant standards, norms and safety regulations under current railway regulations.

For AKE barings for rolling stock, we provide 3.1 certification in accordance with EN10204.
The selected range of AKE bearings for Czech Railways rolling stock is manufactured in accordance with agreed specific technical conditions with certification 3.2.

All bearings from the AKE Skalica production plant are manufactured in accordance with the requirements of the ISO9001 standard.
